Sabrina Carpenter was born on May 11, 1999, in Quakertown, PA. She was raised by creative and musical parents, Elizabeth, her mother, had a background in dance, and her father, David, was a former garage band musician who built Sabrina her first recording studio. Both of her parents were very influential and involved in nurturing her artistic talents that have taken her from Disney darling to global pop sensation.
At age 13, Sabrina’s family relocated to Los Angeles to support her burgeoning career. She had already made her acting debut on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU at age 11, and soon after landed her big break with her role as Maya Hart on the Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World in 2014. This role catapulted her into the spotlight, which led to a recording contract with Hollywood Records and her debut single, “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying”. Her first album, Eyes Wide Open, was released the following year, in 2015.
Though she remained on Girl Meets World until 2017, Sabrina began focusing on her music, releasing several albums including Evolution (2016), Singular: Act I (2018), and Singular: Act II (2019). After signing with Island Records in 2022, she released her album, Emails I Can’t Send which showcased a more mature sound and introspective songwriting, helping her break from her Disney roots. Her most recent album, 2024’s Short n’ Sweet marked a milestone for the artist. It not only debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts, but spawned several chart-topping singles, such as “Espresso”, “Please Please Please” and “Taste”. “Espresso” became the second most streamed song of the year on Spotify, with 1.6 billion streams. This album also earned Sabrina her first Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance.
She continued acting while building her recording career with roles in films like Adventures in Babysitting (2016), The Hate U Give (2018), Tall Girl (2019), Work It (2020) and Emergency (2022). Her stage credits include playing Cady Heron in the Broadway adaption of Mean Girls in 2020.
Philanthropically, Sabrina supports various causes including mental health, LGBTQ+ rights and animal welfare. In 2022, she partnered with nonprofit PLUS1 to establish the Sabrina Carpenter Fund to finance and aid these causes.
Barely a decade into her career, the sky is the limit for Sabrina Carpenter. She continues to evolve as an artist with the support of a dedicated, global fanbase. Her multifaceted talent solidifies her as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, poised for even greater achievements in the years to come.
When it comes to her glam, Sabrina’s signature look is a combination of a vintage-inspired, doll-like aesthetic with a flirty, modern edge. She typically wears soft, natural tones on a glowy base with rosy cheeks, fluttery lashes and pouty lips. Her long, warm, golden blonde hair is usually styled in a bouncy, voluminous blowout with layered waves and face-framing curtain bangs.
The makeup products that she and her makeup artist, Carolina Gonzalez use to achieve her flawless, healthy glow are primarily Armani Beauty with a variety of other brands incorporated for good measure. Let’s take a look at the exact products used…
Face
For public appearances, Gonzalez prefers Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation to create a flawless base with a radiant finish on which to build the rest of Sabrina’s glam. It provides a hydrating medium coverage with a 24hr natural glow finish. Patented micro-fill technology and a base of 89% skincare blur pores and smooth skin texture.
On days when she wants lighter coverage, Sabrina reaches for Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter that blurs, smooths and brightens the complexion with a lightweight, sheer, illuminating coverage.
Another foundation that Sabrina is partial to is NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. The sheer, buildable coverage evens the complexion with a natural, lightweight glow. Skincare benefits ensure that skin tone and texture improve with daily wear.
Gonzalez then uses the perfect companion to Luminous Silk Foundation, Armani’s Luminous Silk Concealer, to further enhance Sabrina’s complexion. The lightweight, hydrating formula instantly perfects, smooths and brightens skin with a buildable medium coverage and naturally radiant finish. Glycerin, caffeine and vitamin E visibly hydrate and reduce puffiness while diminishing the look of dark circles and fine lines.
Another concealer you are likely to find in Sabrina’s lineup is Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Serum Concealer. The weightless formula is serum-infused to supply skincare benefits with undetectable buildable coverage and long-lasting water- and crease- proof wear. Brightens skin tone while smoothing hydration reduces fine lines.
When it comes time to lock Sabrina’s glam in place, Gonzalez uses (you guessed it!) Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Glow Fusion Powder. This weightless, radiant setting powder delivers an extra layer of medium coverage that blurs pores and smooths texture while providing a long-lasting glow.
Cheeks
Gonzalez creates Sabrina’s signature rosy glowing cheeks by first applying Armani Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer in shade 8, a pink with a pearly sheen as a base in layers.
She will then go in with the Luminous Silk Glow Powder Blush in shade 51, 52 or 60 for an extra pop of color applied on the cheekbones and blended out and up the temples in a draping style.
Sometimes instead of the powder blush, Gonzalez uses Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Liquid Blush Cheek Tint in two shades (53, a baby pink and 62, a mauve) together for an ombre effect applied on the mid-apple of the cheeks and blended out and up toward the hairline for a lifted effect.
Another blush Sabrina uses is Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Light Wand. This liquid highlighter-blush instantly provides a megawatt highlight with a subtle wash of color. The magic cushion applicator dispenses product evenly and makes it effortless to blend.
Eyes
Sabrina Carpenter often keeps her eye makeup soft and natural yet defined. She typically wears warm, neutral shades with a pop of highlight on the inner eye corners or the center of the lid, paired with fluttery lashes. Gonzalez uses multiple shades of Armani Beauty Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow to create a buffed-out ombre effect on the singer’s lids. The lightweight formula is highly pigmented and doesn’t dry instantly, giving you time to blend, but once dry, it stays put for up to 16 hours of wear. Available in sheer shimmer, vibrant chrome and neutral matte finishes.
To get those fluttery, flirty lashes, Gonzalez applies several coats of Armani Beauty Eyes To Kill Mascara. This award-winning mascara dramatically increases volume, length and definition in a single swipe that saturates each lash in high-impact color. Gonzalez claims it also acts as a hairspray for eyelashes that helps curled lashes hold their shape longer.
Lips
Sabrina Carpenter loves rosy mauves and shades of brown on her lips but nothing too orange or pink and Gonzalez will often use a darker color to line the star’s lips. Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in Wherever Walnut (a medium brown) is a frequently used shade to provide contrast and dimension when paired with a lighter, more neutral color to fill the lips. These multi-use matte pencils can be used on cheeks, lips, eyes and brows. The precision tip makes it simple to draw dots, lines or smudges for a range of different effects.
Armani Beauty Lip Power Lipstick is often used to fill Sabrina’s lips. Shades 103 (pinky peach) and 106 (medium rosy, brown) are her preferred choices in the satin finish and shade 207 (mauve, brown) in the matte finish. This long-lasting lipstick has a rich, balmy texture that is available in soft nudes to vivid colors that wear comfortably all day.
Armani Beauty Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick is another product Sabrina uses to fill her lips. Her go-to shades are 212 (warm-toned dark plum) and 525 (rose clay). This award-winning liquid lip color provides intense color with buildable coverage and a velvet matte finish that lasts for 8 hours.
Rounding out Sabrina Carpenter’s lip products is Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper. Whether worn alone or over lip color, this lip gloss and plumper hybrid delivers a hint of tint with fuller looking lips and intense shine. Plump Job Complex, an innovative blend of ginger root oil and capsicum fruit extract gently plump lips while shea butter and vitamin E lock in moisture.
