About Rozuri
“ROZURI” is an extension of the word “Zuri,” which means graceful and beautiful in Swahili.
Rosa Eglanteria—the genus of plant from which ROZURI’s rosehip oil is derived— comes from the wild rose family (rosaceae caninae) and grows abundantly in the Southern African soil of Lesotho. ROZURI wants to share the nourishing, healing potential, and vast benefits of this uniquely resilient super plant with the world.
The essence and motivation behind founders Catherine and Herman’s vision for ROZURI is inspired by the memory of their late, beloved daughter, Maya. Sustainable, Indigenous, Uplifting
Africa is a landscape that harbors a rich biodiversity. The plant species indigenous to the continent are unique in their resilience and innate ability to adapt and flourish in climatic extremes.
ROZURI’s key ingredients are wild grown on Indigenous soil, tended to by the local community for generations, and reach full natural maturation (uninterrupted by outside influence) before being picked by hand.
The oils are then extracted and cold-pressed on the same land where they’re wild-harvested before being gently filtered and tested for purity and nutrient levels. They are never blended or diluted, ensuring the naturally occurring ratios of lipids, vitamins, and antioxidants remain for optimal bioavailability for the skin.

ROZURI’s Rosehip Oil is ultra-rich in fatty acids such as Galactolipid, Linoleic Acid (an Omega 6 fatty acid), and Oleic Acid (an Omega 9 fatty acid), making it an abundantly beneficial botanical treasure of naturally occurring bioactives.
