I need to tell you about one of the best skincare products I’ve ever used in my entire life, and it’s one I’ve never heard anyone I’ve recommended it to before be disappointed, either. I know I talk about a lot of products, but this is hands-down an essential that I honestly and truly believe every person on this planet deserves and needs.
I am talking about the OleHenrisken Truth Serum, aka my favorite skincare product of all time.
If you have never tried OleHenrisken products before, they are game-changing.
I first tried this brand years ago when I was working at Sephora as a way for me to educate myself on new brands and products. OleHenrisken’s Truth line stuck with me because it’s known for its ingredients, especially with its focus on vitamin C.
Vitamin C is what I like to call the BLT of skincare because it Brightens skin, Lightens skin, and Tightens skin; three things we will always want.
Vitamin C gives you a brightened, glowing look because it helps nourish and bring out the best in the skin. With lightening, vitamin C is amazing at evening the complexion, especially if you deal with scaring or hyperpigmentation. I really like it as a person of color because the more melanin you have, the easier you tend to scar, and it’s also harder to fade those scars and even them out.
Then, when it comes to tightening, vitamin C helps your skin’s elasticity to keep you looking youthful. The Truth Serum is, of course, infused with vitamin C, but it also has collagen to help you age gracefully.
Usually, when you try out a new skincare product, you want to use it for about four to six weeks. I know that sounds like a long time, but that’s the typical amount of time you need to try a product to see the results you’re going to get.
However, with this serum, I started to notice a difference way before those four to six weeks. My skin is much more even, if I have any scars from blemishes or bug bites, it’s so much easier to even them out. My skin always looks its best when I’m using this serum.
The Truth Serum is also easy to use. Just apply a few pumps to your face; a little goes a long way, but you can be generous with it as well. It smooths on quickly with its silky texture, absorbs quickly, hydrates the skin, and you can use it in the morning and at night. I love using it in the morning because of its sweet and energizing citrusy scent.
I would also recommend storing this serum away from direct light because that can reduce the effectiveness of vitamin C. That goes for any product with vitamin C that has an opaque container.
I can’t get over how much I love OleHenrisken’s Truth Serum; it’s like a multivitamin for your skin!
