As someone with long, color-treated hair, keeping my mane manageable, healthy, and looking its best is a high priority. I’ve always felt that the easiest way to look your best is to use the best, and what could be better than an award-winning, high-quality, stylist-approved haircare line created by a renowned celebrity hairdresser?
Created by Andrew Dale in 2003, the UNITE haircare line is all I trust when it comes to maintaining and styling my locks.
I adore the UNITE brand; not only is every product designed to work with all hair types—no matter the texture, length, or thickness—but they’re all PETA-certified cruelty-free and made without parabens, sulfates (other than mild sulfates in just the BLONDA Toning Shampoo), phthalates, talc, formaldehyde, harsh chemicals, and residues. 76% of the products are also vegan, including the three I’m going to focus on.
While I also use and love the UNITE RE:UNITE Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment, I’m going to focus on the 7SECONDS line. After all, it only takes 7 seconds to make a great first impression.
For my UNITE 7SECONDS routine, I start by lathering my locks with the 7SECONDS Shampoo.
This shampoo gently cleanses the hair with coconut as Pro-vitamin B12 and vegetable proteins strengthen and add glossy, lasting shine. It also enriches and replenishes every strand with lightweight hydration while protecting against UV rays, thermal damage, and color fading.
I love how healthy, silky, and bouncy this shampoo makes my hair. It’s not only safe for daily use, extensions, and chemically treated tresses, but it helps lock pigment into color-treated hair.
Of course, this shampoo isn’t complete without its counterpart to create a life-changing duo.
After washing, I follow up my shampoo with the 7SECONDS Conditioner from my roots to my ends. This formula uses shea butter and Argan oil to add moisture and shine to your ‘do, as well as green tea, sunflower, and fruit extracts for more protection.
Like the 7SECONDS Shampoo, this conditioner hydrates locks with weightless moisture, adds brilliant shine, and further protects against UV rays, thermal damage, and color fading. Also safe for daily use, extensions, and chemically treated tresses, you’ll notice instant results when using this healthy hair combo.
Once a week, I also add the 7SECONDS Masque to finish off this in-shower routine. As with any hair mask, I use a wide-tooth comb to make sure it’s evenly applied throughout my mane and let it work for 10 minutes while I continue with the rest of my shower.
