While the first step to a perfect makeup look is proper skincare, I’m always on the hunt for the best foundation available. A good foundation not only unifies the skin tone and texture, but it makes the whole complexion look healthy without causing damage by clogging the pores or interfering with the already-applied skincare.
I decided to try Suqqu’s Foundation to see if it met my standards and if I should include it in my everyday makeup routine.
This foundation has an incredible texture that is soft and creamy. It’s an almost liquid cream that feels luxurious on the skin, and it spreads evenly across the face with ease.
One of the best things about this foundation is its masking ability. It minimizes the appearance of enlarged pores while also evening the skin’s tone with imperfection-neutralizing hues. For example, it uses red and blue tints to fix oranges and dark circles, as well as evening the look of age spots and hyperpigmentation.
With a buildable medium to full coverage finish, this color-evening formula creates a perfect canvas for virtually any makeup look.
What’s more, is that this foundation has a gorgeous dewy finish that creates a healthy, lit-from-within glow.
When it’s first applied, this foundation looks fresh with a translucent glow full of hydration. Once it settles, light-reflecting pigments add to the effect for an even more luminous look. After a little wear—once the skin starts to secrete some sebum—this foundation becomes a touch sheerer but transforms to a natural-looking shine and that healthy, dewy finish.
As well as making the skin look amazing, this foundation is also a skin saver. I prefer makeup that includes skincare benefits to those that don’t, and this definitely fits the former.
Firstly, this formula includes broad-spectrum UV protection. The most important step of any skincare routine is sunscreen, and using a foundation with SPF on top of that helps protect the skin from damage even further.
This foundation also uses beauty extracts that promote skin wellness. These botanical benefits range from reducing inflammation, providing antioxidants, improving skin hydration, soothing the face, and minimizing and preventing visible signs of aging such as textured skin, enlarged pores, and wrinkles.
After testing out this foundation, I can confidently say I’m adding it into my makeup rotation. As far as looks go, this long-wearing formula blends in seamlessly with creating a natural and healthy-looking complexion with a gorgeous glow. From a skincare standpoint, this foundation protects and improves the skin for a refined finish.
It’s going to be difficult to find a foundation I like more than this one.
