One of the biggest struggles anyone who has ever dealt with oily or combination skin can attest to is dealing with enlarged pores.
Oily and combination skin overproduces oil to balance its lack of hydration. The sebaceous glands at the base of hair follicles release an excess of oily sebum where it collects and combines with dirt and makeup. This stretches the skin and causes the pores to become noticeably enlarged, even when clean and oil-free.
While there is a variety of makeup that can mask the appearance of pores, there are also skincare steps that can help shrink the pores themselves. One I love is the GLAMGLOW INSTAMUD 60 Second Pore-Refining Treatment Mask.
Not only is GLAMGLOW one of my absolute favorite skincare brands, but this mask is also at the top of my list. It works wonders at closing enlarged pores at the center of the face as well as all over.
Start with a clean face. If you wear makeup, I recommend doing a double cleanse with a makeup remover before using your regular face wash. You want to make sure GLAMGLOW’s foaming mask treatment is interacting with just your skin, rather than it having to work through a layer of dirt, oil, and makeup.
Once your skin is clean and dry, apply a generous layer of this mask over the face. Let it sit for just one minute (as the name implies), and you’ll see it oxygenate and turn into a bunch of tiny bubbles. Then rinse your face with warm water and use the mask again up to two or three times a week (giving your skin a break in between).
