I have found the greatest and easiest skincare product for a daily skin refresh that adds a gorgeous glow while prepping and setting makeup. It’s a fantastic, classic product from a new favorite brand of mine that you need to try: Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir.
When I was first learning about skincare I tended to lean to more of the Gen Z-looking brands and always felt like Caudalie was above my caliber, like I wasn’t ready for the luxury. But after sleeping on it for far too long, I started incorporating some of the products into my routine and I am now a number-one fan.
What’s amazing about the brand Caudalie is that a lot of their products have an antioxidant-rich grape base, hence their little grape logo, so everything is hydrating and nourishing for the skin. One of the first Caudalie products I went for was the Eau de Beaute, or Beauty Elixir spray, and I’m already nearly out. I literally use this every single day, morning and night, and it has changed my skincare life.
This spray is good for all skin types and creates a glowing, hydrated, smooth complexion while also tightening the look of pores. All you have to do is spritz it on, which I know it sounds too good to be true, sounds like a scam, but it’s not; I promise.
I like to use this spray as an all-around beauty elixir, which is what it’s meant to be. In the morning, after I’ve cleansed my skin with just some water, I spritz this all over. At night, I do the same thing when I take off my makeup; cleanse the skin, use the spray, and then go in with my other skincare products.
Not only does Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir have nourishing ingredients, but on top of that, it smooths and blurs the appearance of your pores and gives you a youthful appearance. It also adds a nice boost of glow to your complexion, and I noticed an immediate difference when I first tried it. You can even use it over top of your makeup throughout the day to refresh your skin.
As well as that grape extract, this spray uses several incredible essential oils. Peppermint tones and refreshes, precious rose is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, lemon balm soothes and calms to minimize redness, orange blossom calms and adds radiance, and antibacterial rosemary is rich in volatile oils, flavonoids, and phenolic acids to hydrate the skin.
This Beauty Elixir was created in 1997, and it was inspired by a recipe for the “youth elixir” used by the Queen of Hungary in the 17th century, who was known for her radiant complexion. It was always listed as a cult favorite in all the magazines I grew up reading, but I thought it was for an older me, later in life. But no; this spray is for you right now at any age, and when you use it, you will not go back.
