The winter weather is consistently crawling along, but slowly, the ice is melting, birds are returning, and spring is on the way. With the promise of warmer weather, I wanted to encourage the seasonal change to hurry up just a bit faster, so I decided to get a new springtime scent. To add to my collection, I tried the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette.
This perfume is a fresh and fruity floral fragrance. The top notes include pink grapefruit, raspberry, and pear, followed by a floral heart of wild rose, jasmine petals, apple blossom, and violet. The base notes dry into soft musks, cedarwood, and warm plum.
When it comes to perfumes and colognes, the scent itself will always be the most important factor. This is one of those fragrances that changes based on who’s wearing it, which creates a unique scent for every person.
When you first spray this perfume, you’ll notice it is pretty strong with a very clean scent. As it warms up and mixes with the skin, however, it changes to a lightly sweet, subtly musky, bright, and flowery aroma. It reminds me of a classy and successful older woman, like Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly in “The Devil Wears Prada.”
The second most important factor is how long a fragrance lasts.
I sprayed this perfume on in the morning, then went about my day. I ended up doing a lot of physical activities—including shoveling snow and working out—and when my husband smelled my wrist later that night, he said he could definitely still smell it. This is a perfume that lingers on your skin without needing to reapply.
Lastly, when considering if a new fragrance is worth it, we have to look at the price. Perfumes and colognes are expensive, y’all!
This perfume ranges anywhere from $60-80, so it’s a great mid-level budget find that anyone can afford. Not to mention, eCosmetics always offers amazing prices. But on top of all that, you get a lot of product for what you pay, so it’s going to last a long time.
Overall, I love this perfume. It’s warm, fresh, and bright like a spring day, it comes in an adorable bottle that looks great on my vanity, and it smells wonderful. I’m so happy to add this to my growing collection.
