When it comes to at-home self-tanning, St. Tropez is the brand I always think of first. Their products are easy to use, don’t stain or streak, and create healthy and natural-looking tans, so when I heard of their One Night Only Wash Off Body Bronzing Mist, I knew I had to take it for a spritz.
Tanning—whether it’s under the sun or a UV light—can lead to damaged skin, signs of premature aging like wrinkles and spots, and even cancer. Spray tanning can be a great alternative, but finding the right formula is key.
Not only can using the wrong shade lead to that dreaded fake and orange-colored look, but if you don’t get one that works with your lifestyle, you’re going to find it dripping, staining, or not lasting when you want it.
One Night Only is my perfect solution for when I want sun-kissed skin for summer before heading out without taking a lot of time.
To use this mist, all you need to do is shake, spray, and let it dry. It really is that easy! I’ve found using a mitt like the St. Tropez Luxe Double Sided Applicator Mitt can help blend out the color if any areas are applied too heavily, but it’s not needed to get that glowing, airbrushed finish.
With its light to medium color finish, this mist gives my skin a natural-looking golden-bronze tan. It soaks into the skin, so it doesn’t run off, and once it’s dry to the touch, fabrics are safe to sit on or wear—it’s perfect to use while I’m getting ready, and it lasts for up to 24 hours.
Once I’m done for the day, however, this self-tanner washes away easily with just some soap and water. I like to also use the St. Tropez Remover Mitt when I wash it off to make sure I’m as thorough as possible, but it doesn’t take too much more effort than a normal shower.
Like all St. Tropez products, I also love how this mist doesn’t have that typical gross self-tanner smell. Also, it’s paraben, sulfate, phthalate, and cruelty-free, plus non-comedogenic to boot.
My solution for summer skin will always be St. Tropez, but when I need a gorgeous and glowing tan immediately, the One Night Only Wash Off Body Bronzing Mist is my new go-to.
