Fun and Flirty Makeup Tutorial

Fun and Flirty Makeup Tutorial

A perfect go-to for girls’ night or date night

When it comes to a girls’ night out or a fun date night, one of my favorite makeup looks to put together is cute and flirty with just a pop of pink. I started with my basic foundation and bronzer contour, and I used a blush stick on my cheeks, lips, and eyelids. Once that’s out of the way, you can start on the fun part.

First, the eyes. I use my new favorite product, which is Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in brown. This eyeliner is so good you can even sleep in it and it won’t budge. It also has that felt tip so it’s super easy to control and draw on, rather than painting it on.

Starting from the outer corner of your eye, angle the line like a continuation of your bottom lash line. After creating the first wing, pull the liner back in to your upper lash line, just past the corner of your eye. Repeat this on the other eye to create two cute little wings just on the outer corners, but remember, these are sisters, not twins, so don’t worry too much about making them perfectly even.

After the wings are complete, go back in to the inner corners to complete that cat-eye look. This liner is especially good for this part because of how precise it is. It’s so hard to get a super thin line in that area, but this liquid liner does it easily.

Now that eyeliner is done, we’re going to go back over the blush eyeshadow using Urban Decay’s Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette. Urban Decay has a lot of great eyeshadow palettes out there, so if you don’t have this one, there are other options as well.

I went with a nice, light, sparkly pink—the one I used is called Dust. Take that light pink shadow and dust it with your finger into your crease to give a nice little shine. I love using pink makeup because I always feel like it’s a super flirty look, and then the brown liquid eyeliner really tones it down so it’s not super dramatic like a black liquid liner would be.

Next, follow up with a lighter, softer, less sparkly pink (I used Burnout) and go over the center of your eyes. I also used a brown stick liner on my waterline just because brown makes my darker eyes pop, but you can go with a bolder color or a lighter color if you’d prefer as well.

I finish off my eyes with Christian Dior’s brown Diorshow Waterproof Mascara lightly on my bottom lashes and two coats of my regular black volumizing mascara on top. Again, the brown just helps keep this look a little more toned down while still enhancing those natural features.

The last step to really bring this whole look together is lips, of course. I have on my Palladio I’m Blushing 2-in-1 Cheek & Lip Tint already, but I’m going to go over it with the Charlotte Tilbury Jewel Lips in the shade Rose Jewel.

This gloss is my new favorite because it is so silky and shiny, but it also has a little bit of sparkle to it. Also, you don’t need a lot when you apply it, so it lasts a long time.

And that completes this final look! There is a lot of pink to make it fun and flirty, but also some complementary browns to keep it neutral and grounded. This look is great for a date night or even for a girls’ night out.
