Do Eye Creams Actually Work?

Do Eye Creams Actually Work?

Comparing My Complexion With & Without An Eye Cream

Whether you’re doing a wild and crazy eye look or something a little more neutral and every day, it’s important to have a great base to not only make your makeup look better, but also to keep your skin happy, hydrated, and nourished.

A dry undereye is not in this season, which is why I found the perfect eye cream; it’s one of the few eye creams I’ve ever repurchased in my life, it lightens and depuffs the undereye, and it creates a glowing finish while preventing signs of aging. Of course, I’m talking about Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. In my video, you can see the difference this eye cream makes: I did use the cream on the left (yes, your left), and I didn’t use it on the right.

The warmer-weather seasons tend to have a lot of focus on products that keep the greasiness and oiliness at bay, especially as we start to sweat in the heat and humidity. However, going overboard and drying out our skin during the summer months doesn’t make any sense. We don’t want tight, dry, itchy skin; we want nice, nourished, glowy skin, and that includes underneath our eyes.

I like Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for multiple reasons. For one, it is super creamy, as the name suggests, with the infused avocado oil. It helps to moisture the eye area without overwhelming it since it is very delicate.

Additionally, this eye cream stays where it’s supposed to. I’ve found that some eye creams—no matter how little product I put on or how far away I put it from my actual eyes—just like to work their way up into my eyes. Kiehl’s eye cream is still deliciously creamy, but it’s also still thick enough that it stays where you want it.

Another huge plus is how you can also use this cream as an eye mask. Sometimes I like to put a little bit more on than looks normal both underneath my eye and on my eyelid, then let it sit for a few minutes before dabbing any excess off with a tissue and lightly massaging the rest in.

This really makes a difference in your eyes, and as I mentioned before, you can actually see the difference between me just having moisturizer on one side with no eye cream, and then me having my moisturizer and also this eye cream on the other eye. It totally lightens, brightens, and depuffs the whole eye contour.

Morning, day, night… this stuff works for you whenever you need it. It’s just as dreamy, creamy, and delicious as it looks, and I recommend it to anyone looking to try a new eye cream. It’s simply the best.
