After seeing rave reviews across the internet, I knew I had to try the Oribe Styling Butter Curl Enhancing Crème right away. To test out how effective it is, however, I applied it on only one half of my hair to see the difference in how it impacts my signature waves.
This Curl Enhancing Creme uses shea butter and avocado oil to hydrate and strengthen the hair. Not only does this styling butter add hydration, but it helps tresses better maintain that moisture. Elastic, hydrated hair is less likely to break and frizz.
As well as moisturizing, this cream helps to hold and define curls while also adding a soft touch to the locks. It gives a medium hold that’s still movable and touchable, as well as a natural-looking finish.
I also love that this cream is silicone-free. If you have curly locks and are following a curl-friendly routine, you already know how important it is to use silicone-free shampoos and styling products. Silicones are generally not water-soluble, which means they quickly build up on the hair and scalp, leading to weighed-down tresses and pulled-out curls.
I knew all of this before I tried this styling butter, but I was still blown away by the results.
I always start my style by sectioning my hair. I use three sections when I do my signature waves, beginning with the underside of my hair. After taking a dime-sized amount of the Curl Enhancing Crème, I rub it between my hands and massage and rake it through my hair while especially focusing it on the ends.
Once the curl crème is evenly distributed, the curling commences. I wrap small pieces of hair around my curling wandand hold it for a few seconds before moving to the next piece. Once the first section is all curled, I let down the next third and repeat the same process, and then once more with the hair from the crown of my head.
After all my hair is curled, I brush through it with my fingers to create a more natural, wavy look.
There is an obvious difference in my hair when I use Oribe’s Styling Butter Curl Enhancing Crème versus when I don’t. Not only is there a lot more curl, but the curls look sleeker and more voluminous as well. It adds this gorgeous, soft, touchable body to my ‘do that I adore.
Also, my curls are not just more defined when I use this crème, but they also hold that curl a lot better after I brush them through with my fingers. It’s a look that’s going to last me all day.
I was excited to test this styling cream out before, but now I’m an avid fan. If you like rocking waves and curls, you need the Oribe Styling Butter.
